AM PM Staffing Services is seeking a Small Engine Mechanic to join our client’s team in Kenner, LA and become a vital part of their service department! In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain small engines and equipment to ensure optimal performance for their customers. Your expertise will help keep saws, core drills, generators, and other machinery running smoothly.

Hours:
Mon-Friday 8:30am – 5pm

Pay rate: $23.50/hour

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair small engines, including walk behind saws, core drills, and other heavy equipment
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, spark plug replacements, and belt adjustments
• Use schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical systems, carburetors, and fuel systems
• Repair diesel engines, generators, and heavy equipment with precision and attention to detail
• Utilize hand tools, power tools and other specialized tools to complete repairs
• Conduct vehicle maintenance inspections and repairs on various types of machinery

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a mechanic or service technician background preferred
• Strong mechanical knowledge of small engines, diesel engines, and electrical systems
• Hands-on experience with automotive repair, equipment repair, generator repair, and heavy machinery maintenance
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments
