Overview
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter/Laborer to join our client’s team in St. Charles Parish. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in various carpentry and construction tasks, demonstrating proficiency with both hand and power tools. This position requires an individual who is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of performing home repairs or simple around the house projects.
*This is a part-time position, working around 20 hours per week. It is a great opportunity for someone retired who is looking for something to do.
Duties
- Perform trim carpentry and frame carpentry tasks, ensuring precise measurements and cuts.
- Read blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications and requirements.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various construction tasks.
- Engage in water damage restoration and mold remediation efforts when required.
- Participate in heavy lifting and moving materials on-site to support project progress.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the duration of projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in the construction industry with a focus on carpentry.
- Familiarity with construction estimating practices is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by job duties.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
