The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative lighting solutions for various productions, ensuring that the lighting enhances the overall aesthetic and functionality of the space. The Lighting Designer is responsible for everything electrical on the set. Supplying electrical power to all departments that need it and handling all the lights on set and anything that is attached to the lights.

Duties

• Develop comprehensive lighting design concepts based on project requirements and client needs.
• Create detailed lighting plans, including schematics and specifications for installation.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate lighting designs into overall project plans.
• Running lighting console for performances
• Refocus lights to house Rep Plot after performance
• Load in/ Load out
• Provide support during installation and commissioning phases to ensure design intent is achieved.

Skills / Requirements:

• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and ability to create detailed schematics.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Creative problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail in visual aesthetics.
• Knowledge of lighting technologies and their applications in various environments.
• 3 years of experience in theater environments is required.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective collaboration.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed for performances.
• Willingness to learn new skills related to stage management and technical operations.

Job Overview:

A theater concessions worker is responsible for greeting customers at a theater’s concession stand, taking orders for snacks and beverages, preparing items as needed, operating the point-of-sale system to process payments, maintaining cleanliness of the area, and ensuring proper stock levels while providing friendly and efficient service to patrons during performances.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate concessions stands during events, preparing & serving food & beverages, and handling transactions efficiently
• Ensure that assigned areas are kept clean and orderly, restock supplies, & report inventory shortages
• Answer patron inquiries, resolve issues, and provide information about the event, venue, and available services
• Other duties as assigned by Manager or Coordinator

Job Overview:

A spotlight operator, also known as a followspot operator, is a theatrical technician who controls a followspot, a large, manually-operated lighting instrument. They use the followspot to highlight performers and change the stage’s focal point during a performance.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operating the spotlight: Precisely directing the spotlight beam onto designated actors on stage, following their movements throughout the performance.
• Cue execution: Responding to cues from the lighting board operator to activate and adjust the spotlight intensity and focus at specific moments in the show.
• Maintaining focus: Continuously tracking the actor’s position while adjusting the spotlight angle and intensity to maintain proper illumination.
• Pre-show preparation: Setting up the spotlight, aligning the beam, and testing its functionality before the performance.
• Technical knowledge: Understanding the operation of the spotlight, including focus adjustments, beam spread, and color filters.
• Collaboration: Working closely with the lighting designer to interpret the lighting design and execute their vision.

Required skills:

• 3 years of Spotlight Operator experience
• Excellent hand-eye coordination: The ability to smoothly and accurately follow a moving target with the spotlight.
• Concentration and focus: Maintaining attention to detail while following actors on stage during a performance.
• Quick reaction time: Responding rapidly to changes in stage action and cue calls.
• Physical stamina: Maintaining proper posture while operating the followspot for extended periods.
• Technical understanding: Basic knowledge of lighting equipment and its functions.

Job Overview:

A Theater Usher is responsible for ensuring a positive and safe experience for theater-goers. This includes tasks like greeting patrons, checking tickets, directing guests to their seats, providing assistance with venue information and amenities, and maintaining order and cleanliness within the theater. Ushers also play a key role in emergency situations and enforcing venue rules.

Job responsibilities:

• Welcome guests, check tickets, and guide them to their designated seats.
• Answer questions about the venue, seating, restrooms, concessions, and other amenities.
• Monitor audience behavior, enforce venue rules (like no photography or recording), and assist in emergency situations, including guiding patrons to exits.
• Help maintain a clean and organized environment in the theater lobby, seating areas, and other public spaces.
• Provide assistance to patrons with disabilities, those needing directions, or anyone requiring help finding their seats or accessing facilities.
• Help manage the flow of people during entry, intermission, and exit.
