Custodians – IMMEDIATE HIRE for Part time and full time positions available working in the St Charles.

Pay Rate: $14.54/hour

Clean and sanitize all restrooms and classrooms along with other areas in the building as directed.
• Clean, dust mop, sweep and vacuum all floors in each area as directed.
• Adhere to instructions and directions as given by Supervisors.
• Remove all trash, recycling, litter and debris from facility.
• Maintain the general cleanliness of the facility grounds.
• Maintain outside courtyard areas including sweeping debris and removing trash.

Must pass a full federal background check

Experience preferred.

Part Time Custodian

AMPM Staffing Services is looking to recruit Custodians for IMMEDIATE HIRE.

Part time position in the evenings from 4-9pm working at 2 different sites in St. Charles Parish.

Rate Of Pay: $13.00

The job of Custodian is done for the purpose/s of maintaining the clean, safe and secure environment of the school or buildings, ensuring an attractive, sanitary and safe environment for students, staff and visitors; performing a variety of special cleaning operations; and assisting in preparing facilities for classroom activities and campus events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Cleans assigned facilities and/or grounds (e.g. classrooms, offices, gym, restrooms, multipurpose rooms, grounds, walkways, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining a sanitary, safe and attractive environment. Performs summer maintenance (e.g. strip/wax floors, moves furniture, painting, etc.) for the purpose of completing and/or facilitating summer construction.
Prepares site for daily operations (e.g. opening gates, raising flags, sweeping walkway, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring facilities are operational and hazard free.
Replenishes classroom and restroom supplies (e.g. paper towels, soap, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring adequate quantities for daily use.
Responds to inquiries from staff, students, parents, and/or visitors for the purpose of providing information, taking appropriate action and/or directing to appropriate personnel for resolution.
Responds to immediate safety and/or operational concerns (e.g. facility damage, vandalism, alarms, etc.) for the purpose of taking appropriate action or notifying appropriate personnel for resolution.
Secures facilities and grounds (e.g. doors, gates, alarms, lights, etc.) for the purpose of minimizing property damage, equipment loss and/or potential liability.
Supervises summer workers, from high school and special education, for the purpose of providing direction, enabling young people to learn skills and assist in summer cleaning of site.
Supports other site maintenance staff (e.g. grounds, trades, etc.) for the purpose of completing site custodial activities.

OTHER FUNCTIONS

Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma/GED preferred.
Prior experience preferred but not required.
MUST be able to pass background check and drug screen.

Animal Care Attendant

AM-PM Staffing Services is looking to hire a Animal Care Attendant/Custodian for a client in St.John Parish working with animals.

Full time position with alternative weekend shifts

Pay Rate: $13.00/hr

JOB FUNCTION:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Assists in the maintenance of kennel operations such as feeding and watering animals at the Animal Control Center, cleaning and disinfecting animal cages, disposing of refused materials, changing sawdust and other bedding materials, and washing walls and floors of animal rooms where necessary.
Operates and maintain an animal control vehicle. utilizes a variety of animal control devices and equipment including leash, muzzle, traps, radio, and tranquilizing equipment.
Processes animal remains (i.e. burying or operating an animal incinerator); transports animal to nearby veterinarian for humane destruction; performs loading, unloading and euthanizing of dogs and cats.
Performs minor maintenance, yard work and repair work (including temporary repairs to cages) in and around the Animal Control Center office and kennels; cleans and dusts office area and empties trash cans.
Greets and assists customers in person and over the phone and provides routine information about shelter operations.
Other duties as assigned.
This position is “Safety Sensitive” and is subject to random drug testing as per Parish ordinance(s) pertaining to substance abuse.

Experience preferred, training will be provided.
